We understand that planning for a business owner is more complex. We specialize in helping business owners develop an exit strategy from your business whether that is a sale to a third party or to a family member or key employee.
Our Process
We Start Where You Are At
The step in our process is to get an idea of where your business is currently at. We do this using our ExitMap™ assessment which consists of 20 questions covering four areas: Finance, Sales/Revenue, Operations, and Planning.
Once you have completed the assessment we will reach out to schedule a COMPLIMENTARY 1 hour debrief. We will help you understand where you and your business are and help you set some priorities of what you want to work on.
At this point we decide if we would like to work together and go on to the next step which is to build your exit plan.
Build Your Exit Plan
The exit planning process begins by starting with the end in mind. Are you planning on selling the business to a third party? Or will you sell your business to a family member or key employee? Have you already identified these people?
Once we have determined the end we help design an exit plan strategy that is custom to your business. We develop a financial strategy to make this happen. Additionally we complete a Personal Financial Plan for you at this time to determine if the exit strategy will help meet your long term needs.
Once we complete the plan the next step in the process is implementation.
Implementation
After we have done the planning, it is now time to implement the plan. We set up funding vehicles, help you optimize your business, and begin to plan your exit.
It is at this point that we might engage other experts such as Business Coaches, Virtual CFO's , CMO's, or Sales VPs. At this time we typically analyze your employee benefits, key person insurance,
Freedom Day Wealth are also experts in Exit Strategy Planning using Non Qualified Plans which allow you to reward, retain, and plan for key employees.
